Christmas Gift

How about making some thing for your friends for the holidays that will add to their homes and not to their hips.

I made these small flower arrangements this year. They weren't terribly expensive and were much easier than the year I made the star cookie Christmas trees!

The vases were only $2 at IKEA. You can special order large quantities of flowers at Costco, but I had good luck with the floral dept. at my local Fry's grocery store. They had nice bunches of mixed greens which included several kinds of pine. I put about 6 roses in each arrangement and included these fun mums that look kind of like snowballs to me. If you wanted to only do roses, you would need at least a dozen/vase, and it would cost a bit more.

If you want to add to the insanity, you might etch words like NOEL and/or some holiday design on the vases. This was my plan, but I had to simplify! Find a fun ribbon to tie around the vase. You could also attach cute gift tags.
