I stumbled on a blog that was suggesting that we could make our own canvas wall-hangings for much cheaper than the ones they sell at places like Pottery Barn, and I remembered that I had not shared the adorable wall hangings that we made for my niece's nursery, yet. My mom did the hard part, sewing them all together, and making them look so cute. My sister and I designed the dresses and nursery based on the story and images from “The Very Little Girl” book. This was a big-time favorite, growing up, and is now out of print and hard to find. The book is so cute! In each picture the little girl is wearing a different combination of pink, black, white, and/or green. The book is about how she grows bigger, and so the three dresses, (if you look closely) are hung from smallest to biggest.
absolutely adorable! i love this idea!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are super cute! Are you telling me that your mother actually sewed each dress, in such detail and then you hung it on a canvas wall hanging?
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is very impressive!
I have three girls (8, 5 and 3) and the oldest is such a girlie girl. She would love those.
Well done!
That is so cute. My daughter is having our first granddaughter in Jan 09. This would be a cute way to save and display her first dress. Thanks for the ideal

This was my VERY FAVORITE book growing up. I would check it out and renew it every time we went to the library. My mom found me a copy online when I graduated from college and I treasure it. I started reading it to my own daughters this past year and they both love it. We may have to make some tiny pink and green dresses of our own!!
