Today is the day I get to tell you about the exciting giveaway going on here for the next week and a half! Some of you know that one of my life's ambitions is to get the opportunity to giveaway a Silhouette machine on my blog, someday. Well, today is not that day, but it's kind of close! The people from Silhouette sent me some of their really fun products that can be used with or with out a cutting machine, to see what a machine-less person like me could do with them. But I don't get to have all of the fun. They are offering to giveaway these same products to one of my lucky readers, and they have a discount for all of my readers who want to snatch up some great crafting products in time to make some holiday gifts (see the end of the post for details)!
Today I'm going to show you the heat transfer paper. Before the giveaway is through, I plan to show you some more projects using the magnet sheets, and the temporary tattoo paper.
Do these cute onesies look familiar? I gave you a peek at them when I blogged about the Brooklyn baby shower. I put these together really quickly. (At least after the point where we dyed the white onesies pink). I will say that this project had me wishing for a cutter. There were many times when I wanted to add a word to my design and cutting the letters would have been really tedious by hand. The white star you see here, I totally freehanded! I was in a hurry before the shower and wanted to see if it would work. I actually think it turned out really cute! For the cupcake pattern above, I used some craft punches to punch out the cupcake shapes and was grateful that Silhouette sent me two different colors of transfer paper. I wanted to add the word "sweet," but didn't have an easy way to do that. Most of my craft punches were not sharp enough to cut through the thick layers of the transfer paper, unfortunately. But it might be worth trying yours to see if they will work. This product is heavy-duty and really pops on your fabric. I can think of a ton of gifts you could make with this, and even more if you had a cutter--anything that uses fabric!
I'm excited to show you some projects with the magnet paper and tattoo paper later this week (those ones you really don't need the cutter for). But before I do, let's get this giveaway started!
The Giveaway:
