Valentine's Days Past: Clever parties and dates

I had hoped to be announcing the finalists for the Party Party today, but you all gave us so many great parties to take in, that we are going to need a few more days.  I hope you can be patient with us. And while not every party will be a finalist, they all are inspirational, so if you are looking for ideas for any kind of party you may be planning in the future, I highly recommend you pull-up a chair, get comfy, and start surfing! There are several that I will be referencing in the future, for sure!

In the meantime, I thought I would remind you of some party-type things we have done for Valentine's Days in the past, in case you are in need of some inspiration for that impending event. We've had some pretty fun Valentine's Day celebrations around here in the past:

If you want to party with the kids, you might consider throwing a Love Bug Ball:

What says romance better than chocolate?  If you want to go all out, wow him (or her or all of your friends) with a gourmet meal, featuring Chocolate in every dish. Get all of the details here.

Or if you are looking for Adventure, how about getting a group together to go on The Amazing Race: Valentine's Edition?

Last year, several readers were inspired to have their own Amazing Race Valentine's Edition Parties. They linked up their fantastic dates here. Check them out for more inspiration if you are feeling up for a fun group Valentine adventure!

What about you?  Have you thrown a Valentine's party? Or planned a crazy/creative date? What are your plans for Valentine's Day this year?

  2. I need something low key this year as being pregnant I am exhausted all the time. We've somehow managed to never make pizza from scratch with my daughter. We usually rely on premade shells. I think this time we're going to make heart shaped pizza. She'll love it and it should still be easy to do with premade dough.
