Getting to meet up with other bloggers and creative women at our Girls Night Out and at Creative Estates a few weeks ago was somewhat life-altering for me! Others have expressed similar sentiments about how wonderful it is to get to be around people that share your creative compulsions. You know. People who don't raise their eyebrows and stare when you use the words spray paint and plastic tablecloth in the same sentence. People that understand the daily struggle of trying to balance motherhood, creativity, blogging, and that other stuff that just has to get done sometimes. It's a very validating experience!
One of the most important parts of the weekend was listening to and talking with Tauni Everett (pr and social media genius)! I learned so much from her, but most importantly she helped me to completely change the way I have been thinking about my blog--and has already alleviated so much frustration that I was experiencing from my old approach. (And she is going to hate that I am writing about her, but really I don't know how else to explain it!)
Anyway, Tauni has assembled the most incredible team of women to partner with her in developing a new creative conference--an opportunity for the kinds of experiences I just had, plus so much more. You'll recognize many of the ladies on the team as the blogstars that graced our last Arizona Girls Night Out event! The others are all women I
The point of all of this is to tell you, that if you have ever considered going to a conference to network with other creative women and learn more about blogging/social media or your craft, I strongly suggest you join me next April in Salt Lake City for SNAP! As we add speakers and other contributers, I know the list of amazing women you will get to interact with there will grow and grow! I'm also really excited about the plans for classes that will be relevant to all kinds of creative bloggers! And excited to be able to infuse a little insanity wherever I'm allowed. :-)
I'm just so excited to be able to be a part of something this great!
You can register to attend, here, and follow along on the blog here to keep up to date as more of the details are revealed!
UPDATE: Make sure and follow SNAP! the Conference on Twitter and Facebook so you don't missa beat a snap!

If you are going to be in Arizona in June, you may not have to wait until April for the opportunity to rub elbows with some amazing women of the blogosphere. We are gathering vendors right now for our June Girls Night Out featuring the ladies of The TomKat Studio, Laura Winslow Photography, and Maddycakes Muse. (And of course, you get to hang out with Stephanie, Kristyn, and I).
It's going to be a PARTY!
Sponsors get first shot at tickets (see here for details) if they sign-up now. And ticket sales will be opening to the public very soon, so make sure you are on our mailing list so you will be the first to know. We anticipate this event will sell out quickly, like our last one did, and we don't want you to miss out!
It is a wonderful thing to be part of a supportive, interactive community on-line and in real life! I hope to meet up with you soon, here or in Utah!
Congrats on being on the team! What an amazing group! I'm hoping that I'll be able to make it! And, can't wait for the GNO in June! :)
